Alyssa Ann Zinger, 23, of Tampa, Florida, is a 14-year-old teenager who has become a global trend for making intimate encounters with children of that age.
Zinger was first arrested in November on charges of having at least 30 sexual acts with at least one high school student between the ages of 12 and 15 and sending explicit videos to several others.
But he is facing additional charges of child sex crimes after four other victims came forward.
Creating false identities on social networks
The alleged attacker posed as a 14-year-old and communicated with minors primarily through Snapchat. Most of the victims attended Wilson High School in Tampa’s Hyde Park neighborhood.
After his initial arrest, Zinger was charged with infidelity and battery. However, more charges were added Thursday, including possession and distribution of child pornography and cybersexual harassment.
One of the victims said Zinger had several sexual encounters and sent them explicit photos and videos. She said she was 14 years old, and she believed it because she knew several classmates with similar skin. She also said Zinger had relationships with other teenagers.
Detected in attempted fraud
In a previous incident, Zinger was arrested in July for shoplifting at a Nordstrom store and tried to mislead police about her age by saying she was born in 2009. However, the investigation revealed that he was lying and that he was big.
Police have been investigating Zinger for nearly a year since his initial arrest. Officers confirmed his age through school and employment records, as well as by contacting his employer at Publix.
Three months after Zinger’s first arrest, a new plea was filed that underscores the seriousness and scope of the woman’s alleged crimes. The girl explained that she was fascinated by minors and said that for the first time, she was attracted to a 42-year-old man. He boasted that he had “initiated” more than 60 minors.
